Energy

The sun. Although I know the sun is just a flaming star, I can’t get over how much energy it brings to all lives daily! Can you imagine if there were no sun? In the summer months, I know most of us would agree (especially those who live closer to the equator) we could do with less sun because it is just so hot!!! Really stop and think a moment. What would your day to day life be like without the sunshine? What would a lack of sunshine do for your attitude? What would you get accomplished in darkness? I don’t know about you, but my heart is always full of gratitude when I see the sunshine (yes, even in the heat). I know my energy levels are increased when there’s abundant sunshine!

On the same topic, but a little different…I picked up some sunflowers for a special mentor in my life this afternoon, and was reminded of a beautiful quote:

Sunflowers follow the sun,

but did you know-

When it is cloudy and gray, they face each other and share their energy.

Imagine if people would do this too!

This was my mantra coming back to school in the Fall of 2020 from the Covid19 Spring shut down. I knew I couldn’t have high energy without others sharing their light with me! What should have been one of the hardest years of my educational career turned into one of my most favorite memories of teaching! I traveled to three different classrooms, one of which was the school’s cafeteria so I could still teach choir safely. I overcame obstacle after obstacle because I had others who shared their energy! Whenever you read this, I hope your take away becomes this:

SHARE YOUR ENERGY!

We need to be more giving, show compassion and empathy, and definitely share our light, love, and energy! Keep working towards your goals. Keep believing in the best version of you and don’t settle. Pursue your passions with fervor. If you ever need it- I will always be happy to share my light and love with you. You’ve got this!

Light and Love-

Amber
